Hazel Asumu is a PGY-3 resident in Diagnostic Radiology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN. She has been an experienced tutor and enthusiastic mentor for several years throughout all phases of her education and career. Her passion is instilling confidence in those she works with, so that they can perform to the best of their abilities.

Hazel received her B.S. in Biological Anthropology and Anatomy from Duke University in 2012 and received her M.D. from University of Florida in Gainesville in 2017. During her time at UF she mentored students in anatomy and helped second year students prepare for Step 1. Hazel received a 255 on Step 1. Hazel believes that strong mentorship and guidance is crucial to scoring well as well as having an organized and realistic study schedule.

Parker grew up in a small town in Southeast Ohio. He graduated medical school from Northeast Ohio Medical University with AOA distinction. He is currently an intern at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, MA. During medical school, Parker used Cram Fighter to study for Step 1, Step 2 CK, and the shelf exams and found it extremely helpful in breaking up a daunting task into manageable chunks. He scored a 270 on Step 1, 276 on Step 2 CK, and honored all his core rotations in medical school. Parker has always had a passion for teaching, and tutored for every basic science class of medical school. In his free time, Parker enjoys hiking, fishing, skiing, and whitewater kayaking.
